The name BONTJAS refers to the golden spotted fur of a leopard.

Many years ago, our older generation referred to the area as “Bontjas” because of the mountain leopards that were spotted in the area. We are situated in the majestic Hemel and Aarde Valley overlooking the Overberg mountains and farming fields.

Our rustic yet elegant self-catering glamping houses have a fully equipped kitchen, unique bathroom and a private braai boma as well as an indoor braai place. During the hot sunny days take a nice dip in our splash pool Bontjas is the perfect destination for all outdoor and nature lovers. Surrounded by pine trees, farm fields and mountains, it is a place for quality time in a peaceful environment. The houses are off grid and Wi-Fi free.
